Father prayed because he had a good Friend to talk over the problems of the day; he prayed because he had a direct connection with his Maker when he had a concern; he prayed because there was so much for which he wanted to thank God. When father talked with the Lord it was serious, but unpretentious. He talked to Someone he knew.
